2014 Poster Artist

Mary Ann Carroll, the sole woman of the Hall of Fame Highwaymen Artists, shares her historic journey with 26 other artists, of which only 15 are still living. While Mary Ann shares the spotlight of the Highwaymen, she is no doubt the only woman captivating audiences with her niche for colors. She captures Florida’s sunsets and landscapes in the most glorious hues. Carroll is distinguished in her life story of how she struggled to raise seven children alone solely at the return of a dollar through the stroke of brush.

This year’s poster art, Mary Ann’s “River Scene” painting, is iconic to native Floridians, anglers, and collectors of Highwaymen art. The painting is undeniably Highwaymen artwork. The painting will be auctioned by the Art Festival committee to support the goal of providing scholarships for young artists.
