The Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts is looking for a poster artist for its November 2008 show. The winning artist will provide the artwork that will be featured on the Festival's posters and t-shirts. The winning artwork will also be featured on the Festival website in the header and with your own page featuring YOU like last year's poster artist. It's a fairly high honor to be selected as the poster artist and the selected artist will gain a lot of critical exposure.

The process is fairly simple. Interested artists will meet individually with the Festival Chairman, Delores Lash, to present their original artworks. After review, an artist will be selected to paint this year's piece.

If chosen, the artist is given some fairly broad guidelines for their work. The piece they create must be warm colors that feature a Florida theme, scene or animals. And, Delores says with a smile, it can't feature a kitchen or a bathroom.
