Supporting High School Artists

The Lake Mary - Heathrow Festival of the Arts is, first and foremost, a scholarship event supporting young artists in their pursuit of higher education. Each year, the Festival provides funds for scholarships for graduating High School seniors. Since the Festival began in 1987, proceeds have also assisted the community in educating, entertaining and promoting goodwill as well as supporting fine arts.

The success of the Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts is based on partnerships with the community, thousands of volunteers, five Seminole County Chambers of Commerce, individual contributions from local business, and many other people who give of their time to improve the quality of life in our community.

We are proud to announce that the proceeds from the Festival of the Arts will fund Seminole County schools art programs and scholarships to students from all eight Seminole County High Schools:

  • Lake Mary High School
  • Seminole High School
  • Lyman High School
  • Lake Brantley High School
  • Lake Howell High School
  • Oviedo High School
  • Winter Springs High School
  • Crooms High School

In the following months, the works are reviewed. After careful consideration, scholarships are awarded at the end of the school year and paid directly to the institution of higher learning selected by the scholarship winner.

Congratulations to our talented local students.
